Lady GaGa's 'The Fame Monster' is already becoming one of the most talked-about albums this year even before it is released. 'The Fame Monster' is supposed to be a re-release of her debut album that spawned millions of sales worldwide this year. On a recent interview on German TV, Stefani Germanotta stated that her album will be released on its own as an 8-track album on November 23, 2009 (Worldwide). Apart from that 'The Fame Monster' will be having a deluxe edition pack containing 2 CDs (1st CD is the new 8-track album, while the 2nd CD is 'THE FAME' album CD). She also has released 1 official single on the album, 'Bad Romance' which quickly became a hit alongside with the video created amassed reactions from fans and music critics across the pop music industry.
To give you a quick idea of how will the album sound, here's my first impressions on the 8-track LP:
BAD ROMANCE
No need to talk about the song, the video is more pleasing. With her amazing new style, GaGa's music video is indeed one of the best we've seen. Ever.
ALEJANDRO
The Spanish-telenovela influenced track is not as special as some of the tracks in the album were. At first listen, you might not like it but I'm pretty sure it'll grow on you.
MONSTER
The RedOne produced stunner has qualities to be a great single. In this track, GaGa talks about having a guy that's been described as a Monster. The meaning to the track isn't ordinary as GaGa tries to be more mature in providing us with a stunning mid-tempo song with deep lyrics.
SPEECHLESS
This Ron Fair produced track is somehow can be described as a ballad with its near qualities with her earlier track 'Brown Eyes'. It doesn't have a clear strong chance of making as a big single but nonetheless it showed GaGa's emotions in a positive way. Her vocal abilities cannot be contested with this one.
DANCE IN THE DARK
Probably the weakest track in the album, this Fernando Garibay produced track doesn't make much an impact compare to Bad Romance. The song's got a retro vibe sampled with a familiar tune. The verses were kind of bland but the chorus can be more likable to the very least.
TELEPHONE
'Telephone' features R&B pop diva Beyonce. The track, produced by DarkChild is an absolute smash. Anyways, it isn’t the typical GaGa single that would pierce your ears the first time you hear it right? Look at Poker Face, Just Dance, Bad Romance — ‘Telephone’ doesn’t have those qualities as of the moment but it’s catchy as hell. The sound effects of a busy dial tone in the background is absolutely gorg - although they can get annoying at some point.
SO HAPPY I COULD DIE
This track has a unique title doesn't it? Compared to other GaGa songs, it's the one that really showed much vulnerability from her. Although it might not be classified as a Ballad, for me this is GaGa's most moving song (not in the sense you'd weep to it). Surprisingly, it's a RedOne produced track which you may find a bit surprising because RedOne doesn't do good in slow songs.
TEETH
To my utter surprise, I actually like this song. After a second spin to the album, this clearly showed up to my finest attention. Although I like the other tracks in the album a little bit more, 'Teeth' shows a comic, dark yet pleasing aura from GaGa. It doesn't have the biggest lyrics but it does have a quality of being a favoured track. Although I'm quite not sure about this.
